Naturally, lots of questions come up. I answer all of them from general boudoir to how to prepare, comfort boundaries, all the way to how to keep memories with the images from your Unveiled experience. They are separated by topic. Boudoir and the Unveiled Experience
what is boudoir photography exactly?
Boudoir photography is a guided intimate portrait experience focused on confidence, self-celebration, and being seen exactly as you are. At Unveiled Boudoir, it’s not about performing or looking a certain way. It’s about revealing confidence on your terms.
who is boudoir for?
Boudoir is for adults of all genders, body types, and backgrounds. Clients book experiences to celebrate milestones, reclaim confidence, mark life transitions, or simply do something meaningful for themselves.
is boudoir only for women?
Nope. Unveiled Boudoir welcomes women, men, transgender, and couples as clients. All bodies are respected and celebrated here. I've had experiences with all kinds of adults.
why unveiled boudoir?
The experience is calm, guided, and client-led. Your comfort sets the pace, boundaries are respected, and the focus is on how you feel, not just how you look. It's your experience, unveiled. Let's celebrate the real you!
before you book
I've never done this before. Is that ok?
Absolutely. Many Unveiled Boudoir clients are first-timers. You do not need experience, confidence, or posing knowledge before you arrive.
what if I'm really nervous in front of the camera?
That’s completely normal. Sessions start slowly with gentle direction and encouragement. Many clients are surprised by how quickly nerves fade.
how do i get started?
First step is to book a consultation. You will be emailed a questionnaire to get some information first. During the consultation I can answer questions, discuss comfort levels, get some outfit ideas together, and make sure the experience feels right for you.
can i bring someone with me?
All experiences are "one-on-one" with the photographer and the client(s) so we can focus fully on you and the art, without distractions. This helps create a relaxed, respectful environment where you can settle in, trust the process, and be your true self.
the Unveiled experience
Do I need to know how to pose?
All posing is fully guided. You’ll receive calm direction throughout the experience so you never feel unsure of what to do. I'll bring my posing guide to the consultation. If you have any ideas from Pinterest or screenshots you'd like to use as inspiration, bring them to the consultation and we can take a look together.
how long is the session?
Unveiled Boudoir offers two-hour and four-hour photography experiences. The length you choose depends on how much variety and time you want to ease into the experience. The experience time is allocated for "on set shooting" meaning any hair or makeup is done prior to the experience time. Once you are prepared and ready, we will begin the experience. When you are changing outfits, I will prepare the setting for the poses for that outfit. Some will be the same and some will change (bed, couch, shower, tub). We can get a schedule together during the consultation.
do you have any recommendations on what to wear?
Clients are encouraged to bring multiple outfit options. This can include lingerie, bodysuits, bra/panty set, oversized shirts, robes, or implied coverage. Nude poses are always optional as well as kink/BDSM outfits/gear for those more bold. Most clients choose at least one bra/panty set, bodysuit, lingerie like a bustier, corset, babydoll, or stockings and garter belt.
what if I start to feel uncomfortable during the experience?
You are always in control. Boundaries can be adjusted at any time, and nothing continues unless you are comfortable. PLEASE SPEAK UP if you are not comfortable. If you are uncomfortable for any reason and you hesitate to speak up, it will crush me. Need a drink of water, a snack, just a little breather? Is the room too warm or too cold? Let me know what I can do to help make you comfortable.
comfort, boundaries, & nudity
How are comfort boundaries addressed?
Boundaries are discussed during the consultation and confirmed before the experience begins. I have a questionnaire that is sent when you book the consult and we go over it during the consult. You can change your mind about any boundary at any time. Period.
what if I change my mind during the experience?
Simply speak up and let me know what's changed. You don't have to ever explain why. A simple "Hey, Adam, I changed my mind about this. Can we not do that? Perhaps this instead?" That's all that needs to happen. Please communicate so you can have the most comfortable experience possible.
how much nudity is involved?
That's entirely up to you. It's your experience. Most clients prefer full coverage of sensitive areas while others explore partial or full nudity. I have zero expectations. It's whatever you want your experience to be. Every session is guided by your comfort level. What you choose to wear or show is always your decision and is discussed privately during planning.
do you showcase any of my nude photos on your site?
Clients can choose to consent to have their images displayed publicly. That includes non-nude or nude images, with or without face showing. That's up to you what you are comfortable with.
After the experience
what is the "unveiling"?
Other photographers call this the "reveal", but this is the reveal done the Unveiled Boudoir way. It's a dedicated image viewing experience where you see your finished photos for the very first time in a casual, relaxed, and supportive environment. That being said, it's a celebration of how amazing you look and how powerful you feel!

What if I don't like them?
It's a common concern, but it rarely happens. Confidence is built throughout the session, and adjustments are made in real time. The goal for you is to recognize yourself and feel proud of how incredible you look.
How are images edited?
My editing style is clean and natural, focusing on preserving who you are while enhancing the final image. A camera senses differently from what our eyes do, so I try to match what I saw when I took that image. If there is a stray hair on your face, a stubborn pimple somewhere, or a random strand from your outfit, I'll take care of that. I don't modify your body to make you more curvy, have a thinner waist, or change your eye color. If you prefer dramatic and moody or light and airy, we discuss that during your consultation so the editing matches your expectations.
when will i see my photos?
Your Unveiling is scheduled after editing is completed. Allow up to two weeks after the experience for editing to be completed. We will coordinate a time to unveil your photos.
pricing & Purchasing memories
How many digital images does each session include?
Your experience includes a curated selection of edited digital images. One-hour experiences include 20 digital images. Two-hour experiences include 40 digital images. Four-hour experiences include 60 digital images. You’ll have the option to purchase additional images, albums, or wall art after viewing your gallery.
can i purchase more digital images?
Yes. If you fall in love with more images, additional digital images are available. All pricing is clearly shown in your gallery before you make any decisions. There’s no pressure to purchase anything beyond what’s already included.
do i have to buy prints or an album?
Not at all. Many clients are happy with their included images. Others choose to add additional images or artwork like a fine art album or wall piece once they see their gallery. Everything is optional, and you’ll only purchase what feels right for you.
When do I order and pay for my photos?
Once the Unveiling is done, you can purchase the images right then or whenever you are ready. There is no rush and some clients choose to make more than one purchase at different times. If you need to wait a few months before you purchase, it's no problem.
privacy, inclusivity, & professionalism
Will my images be shared publicly?
Images showing your face will not be posted on my site without your consent in writing. Your privacy is always respected.
Are these experiences private or live streamed?
Unless you specify a public venue like the beach, a nature trail, or out on a boat, yes they will be as private as possible. These experiences are never live streamed for any reason and I don't have YouTube. The only camera during the experience is the one in my hands.
you're obviously a male photographer. what can i expect?
The Unveiled experience is professional, respectful, and light-hearted. Clear communication, support, encouragement, and comfort are my priorities. My lens sees things differently. The images in my galleries speak to my vision, my art, and my appreciation of my clients.
Do you work with lgbtQ+ clients?
All adults are welcomed, respected, and cherished clients of Unveiled Boudoir. I've worked with all genders, all sexes, all sexualities, and have enjoyed the experiences very much. Unveiled Boudoir isn't just for women, it's for everybody and every body.
